For Max's birthday he wanted to do iworlds for his party. Uncle Lincoln also loves space camp so he got to be our designated adult to watch all the kids for two hours. It's not a hard job because they're pretty busy trying to survive and save the world, or something like that.

Trip to Denver
This weekend Jon had a conference in Denver 4 miles from my sister's house. I texted Lyssa to see if we could come visit and she said, "YES!" She loves visitors and is a great host.

On the first day we hung out at Tattered Cover. Love that place.
Lyssa told Max and Seth there was a statue somewhere in the store that they had to find. It is so realistic, that it creeps the kids out a tiny bit.
On Friday night Max and Seth got to join Peter and Thomas at gymnastics. They are doing dive rolls over each other. Seth asked if we could stay until Tuesday so he could go again.
Elitch Gardens (Thanks Teri, for the passes!) It was the busiest day we have ever seen. The parking lot was so full, they were making people park at the Pepsi Center. And it was the hottest day of the summer so far. But the kids still had a great time.Thomas does not love the Ferris Wheel. He doesn't love heights. But he loves being with his cousins so he did it.
Seth wasn't too sure about the swings. He ended up loving them after trying them.
The kids call this the Sandlot ride because of the movie Sandlot. It is the throw up scene. Happily, no one threw up in our group. Everyone rode this ride four times because it didn't have a long line.
Good times.

4th of July
For the 4th of July weekend we went to Idaho for my nephew's baptism. Yay, Mack! It was a great meeting and always so fun to all be together.
Saturday night we did a few fireworks in Idaho at Grandma's. The boys got way into it, of course.

Then we drove home on the 4th since Jon needed to be back for work on Tuesday. We did some more fireworks at the other Grandma's. We did have one firework fall over and shoot at us which was quite exciting (since nobody got hurt.)

Duck Tape
This blog is brought to you by Maddie! :) This weekend I was kind of bored, so we bought some duck tape at Target and started creating.
I made this lovely beach bag. Ya, that's right, I made it. I got it off the Family Fun website. It looked fun (Guess that's why it's called family fun) and easy, so I tried it. It turned out GREAT! My YW leader couldn't stop obsessing about it. It was pretty awesome.
Seth saw a neighborhood boy once wearing these duck tape shoes. He was very impressed and asked him how he made them. He said that he just put duck tape around some old socks. Of course Seth went into the mud room and grabbed a pair of MY socks. He had already worn them a lot (despite they were pink) and they were stained black on the bottom. I agreed he could use them and this is how they turned out. I have to admit, they were pretty cool. B) We've also made some wallets, but we couldn't fine them at the moment. Just try to picture the coolest wallet you've ever seen and multiply it by 100. That is basically how they looked.
Max took all my pictures. (I'd like to give him credit for that) They turned out pretty good. Thanks for reading!!! Ta Ta For Now! (as tigger would say:)

Pool Time
I got a new camera yesterday. I just couldn't live without my camera and my birthday is just two months away, so Happy Birthday to me. I wanted to try it out so I took it to the pool. I think I like it! It's a Canon powerShoot that fits in my front pocket.

Tanner's Long Board
This is the reason Tanner liked his manufacturing class so much. They got to make long boards. He had to buy his own wheels once it was done which was pretty spendy but it's nice to see enthusiasm for a class.

Girls Camp and Day Camp
Last week I went to Girl's Camp with 30 Young Women. It was super fun because we stayed in a huge cabin with bathrooms that had showers and flushing toilets, that's my kind of camping. The first night we got there we had a fancy dinner then had each of the girls walk the red carpet while we spotlighted them then crowned them. It hopefully made each girl feel valued.
Beautiful Bear Lake.
Then today, I got to go to Seth's first Cub Scout Day Camp. He wanted to actually camp for the night but it was only half a day which I thought was perfect. His buddies, Michael and Tanner.
Seth was most excited to shoot bb guns. They were actually way harder than he thought and he ended up being frustrated. Max told him he would like it better next year when he was a year older.
I gave him $5 to spend at the Trading Post and he bought a pocket knife and these sunglasses.
