Yellowstone 2010

For Fall Break, Jon's mom rented a cabin right outside of West Yellowstone. We got there late Thursday night and stayed until Sunday. It was very relaxing, beautiful and fun to be with family!

First thing we went to Old Faithful. They have a new museum that was hands on and very interesting.

Max and Jon during our hike to the waterfall.

All of these animal pictures were taken from our car window. The bear was pretty scary to see but SO exciting also. There was a sheriff parked nearby to make sure people didn't get too close. You can tell it's a Grizzly by the hump on its back. That is muscle used for digging.

Wow, seeing that bear would have scared the pants off of me. It seems like there is a lot of wildlife. I know my kids would love it, but will be it boring now for your kids?

I love Yellowstone. But I am always perplexed that there are actually people who would DARE get that close to wild animal like a bear. Don't they know that bears kill people? What a sweet picture of father and son holding hands. AHhh.
