We're pretty sure Hazell died of natural causes. Hamsters live 1.5 to 3 years and she made it 2 years so...Maddie did a great job taking care of Hazell. We asked if she wanted another hamster and she said no, it will be nice to not have to clean the cage anymore.

Aww. But isn't a secret relief when a hamster dies? How much longer will the lizards live? Boy, I sound like a hater!
I'm sure she died of old age - since we (the grandparents) were in charge of the animals for the weekend! We didn't even know she was dead. They sleep a lot you know.
